Because gun, we have to know more about our world and what's in it. You probably dont support stem cell researc either huh? 0 -
I support the research as long as its cord blood. As for having to know more about the world ,its a squid man, most likely ancient and I dont see how taking this rare creature out of its habitat is going to benefit anyone. All its doing is satisfying some bored scientists wet dream.............. quote:Originally posted by frankcastle13

I tried squid rings at the local thai restaurant, it was chewy as a rubber band and tasted like a sweaty foot. yecch. gallons of hot sauce wouldn't help it. 0 -
Try the Calanmari, that's what freezing them does not them makes them rubbery, probably came out of a commerical fishermans frozen bait locker.
Kimi: I have heard about Giant squids in Asian Andaman sea off of Thailand .0 -
The Humboldt Squid have been seemingly been getting caught more here lately
about 20+ miles out off the central CA coast line. Last week had a local catch one in the 300lb range up in halfmoon bay.

They over cooked it! and most likely didn't clean it well or it was sitting around for a day or two. Good calamari should be tender with a very mild taste. I love the stuff if its done right.0 -

I sampled a bunch of pickled calamari and octopus in a small off street bar in Torremolinos Spain, good stuff and not as rubbery as some deep fried stuff I've had in the states 0
