Range Was Flooded
I was supposed to open the range Tuesday and qualify a new recruit.
Went to the range and this is what I saw.

Range is inside the wastewater treatment plant. Range proper is in the top right of this picture. The yellow building is where we store targets and stuff.
The wastewater manager took the picture, and he wasn't particularly interested in the range part.
Rookie and I ended up driving out into the county and borrowing some range time at a commercial range. That place wasn't under water, but it was sure muddy.

You should have advised SWAT they have a stage to practice. Maybe a hostage in the target shed? 0 -
That was the result of 5 inches of rain in 2 hours. It just can't drain away as fast as it falls.
Actually, the range slab was probably less than a foot deep. We could have handled that, only we wouldn't be picking up much brass. However, the water between dry ground and the slab was between two and three feet deep, taller than my rubber boot tops.
And since the rain water overflowed the plant inlet, technically speaking, all that water on the ground is untreated sewage.0 -
strange color for n.e. texas....green?[:)] 0 -
Should have shot a hole in the ground to drain it out
