Thought some of you might like this.Friend of mine took this pic of a baby Blue Marlin that washed up on his boat while fishing off the Gulf Coast of MS.Amazing how such a tiny little creature can grow into such a beautiful and powerful fish.

I am confused. Why is the American flag backwards on his uniform? I thought it might have been wrong but I just looked at other pics and they are all backwards. I thought the stars belonged on the left side. 0 -
I haven't been able to figger that out for years.

i have been told that was the correct way to were the flag those colors dont run. if you were carrying the flag into battle your advancing ,stars first strips follow, but i have been known to have been wrong before. if different please advise.0 -
The Army wears the flag on their right shoulder and it's backwards (with the field on the right) so it's always advancing. If the flag was proper with the field on the left it would be retreating. 0 -

The flag would fly this way if you were charging into battle. It is as simple as that.

Troops air-dropped into Normandie on the night of June 5th had the flag on their left shoulders. So the blue was forward. They didn't bother with backward-facing flags. They had the blue in the upper left corner, which is more appropriate a depiction. Joe 0
