What in the bloody, blue blazes is a HALO?

Mine wants to be a zombie this year, much easier to do than last year when he wanted to be the creature from "The Village."

as a hint there is a paintball full helmet mask which looks a lot like Master Chief's helmet if you paint it green.
They are made my JT USA paintball, and I bought mine in Walmart (painted it to match my MARPAT [:D])

You're on your own as far as the MLONJIR armor is concerned

HALO is just the name of the game. The character that everyone (including me) wants to be is the "Master Chief." His name is John, SPARTAN 117, and his rank is Master Chief Petty Officer of the UNSC. Please keep this in mind during further discussions.

He Dog: I remember HALO jumps/dumps. Air Guard from several states called us to block airspace in the MOA's (mil. oper areas). Joe

I just cannot believe the costume companies are so stupid as to miss this VERY large opportunity. Can you imagine the money they missed on this one? Wal Mart will even have special lines open for only THIS game on the 25th when it is released. Halloween is so close that anyone who made even a crappy little attempt at a costume would be sold out.....definately.

Looks like you have to make it yourself.

Or have at least some custom work done.

If you want to continue to search you might want to use the words Master Chief costume.

    Alternatively:

If he doesn't want to put much effort into it there is always

$3500 is the lowest pre-made costume I could find.

    I second the GHOST idea.

I think I was a HOBO for my 10 Holloween.

funny, every master chief ive ever known sat behind a desk and drank coffee and spent half his life in the XO's office trying to bail some drunk sailor out of captains mast.

Bobski: Yes. After being notified by the military, we'd issue a NOTAM. And call center. And the appropriate approach control, if they had a STAR or SID (Standard Terminal Arrival Route/Std Instrument Departure) that conflicted with the MOA.

During a preflight briefing, in addition to enroute weather, the end-user (pilot), would get the NOTAM. Significant behind the scenes coordination is required to block the airspace. (ie making the MOA "hot").

We're talking MOA's here. Restricted areas are usually permanent, or listed in the end-flap of the sectional chart/low altitude enroute chart for altitudes/times, etc. Best, Joe
