Put me down also on the "I gotta see a hammer" club. The only gun I have is the Colt Hammerless. Everything else gotta see it.

Then I guess you will never own a Parabellum (Luger). Bummer.[:(]

I like hammers too, but I never restrict myself.

My uncle owns a luger, he says they're high dollar. I never have taken a liking to them I have shot his just didn't like it. I have had a hammerless S&W pistol before and it was junk.

What is the deal with lugers? are they a mechanical masterpiece or just bragging rights for owning the nazis?

Everything I own has a hammer! Used to have a Taurus PT 145, but got rid of it because I didn't like the DOA.

Parabellums predate the Nazis. Mine are from WWI. They are mechanical masterpiece's of metal and wood, balance and utility, Old World and New. The automatic pistol had been prefected less than 5 years when the first Parabellums came out and it stayed a first line pistol for over 40 years. Volumes have been written about them.
It's like owning the Rolls Royce of the gun world.
