    I personally don't like the reserve auctions either, but there is a reason for those who use this tactic. The theory is that a low starting bid will get more people to look, and the reserve obviously assures teh buyer gets what they want out of it. Telling the reserve price just saves teh seller the time of responding to tons of emails asking what the reserve price is set at.

    There are other dealers that do this,I think its great that he list the reserve. Mags and some of the accessories are restricted by some state laws.BBL length,pisrol grip,etc

    I can only imagine that a lot of sellers set a high reserve during the initial listing just to see how high their item(s) will go.

    They then have a baseline to use for future listings, and use a no reserve auction with a starting price a few dollars less than the highest bidder in the initial listing. Joe
