Bill Parcells
Another glorious era of Dallas Cowboy football ended today when Bill Parcells resigned. At least he coached the 'Boys to a MARVELOUS 34-32 record while he was there, thus immortalizing himself alongside the great Chan Gailey and Dave Campo among the other Cowboy coaches who just couldn't quite win the big game. Did you Cowboy fans realize that they haven't won a playoff game since 1996! America's team, RIGHT! Let the record show that Parcell's hadn't led a team to the Super Bowl in 10 years (the Patriots, in Super Bowl XXXI), hadn't won a playoff game since the Jets defeated Jacksonville in the divisional round in 1998, and hadn't won more than 10 regular season games since those '98 Jets went 12-4 and made it to the AFC title game. Some hire by wonderboy Jerry! Wonder who he will get this time? Maybe he can name HIMSELF head coach! HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!

If you don't live in the Dalls area you may not realize just how BIG the Cowboys are tied into "everyday life" for fans here...I am no die hard fan, anymore...not been in years...not a "fair-weather" fan either, just not too important anymore.
Jones gave Parcells more room to manuver as a HC than he has given any, except JJ; and doing that w/Parcells, did not get very far. This does not bode well for how Jones may treat the next HC.
Jones is in this for "fun", I think before the bucks...his having "fun" by "interferring" w/the HC's job; thinking of himself as a footbal genuis, unfortuanately, is the way it is. When Jones stops having "fun", he'll sell the team...[;)]0 -

Any team that would actively pursue a player of TO's caliber deserves to lose.

Yea, TO was a great addition to the club.

well Dallas has been bad for 10 years yet nobody has beat thier records for playoff wins and playoff games
Its called EQUITY and the Dallas Cowboys still have plenty left.

Honestly, I grew up a huge Cowboys fan. Just cannot stand Jerry Jones at all. He is arrogant, vain, money-hungry, power-hungry, and IMHO, since he dumped Tom Landry and ran off Jimmy Johnson, a first class, "A" number one IDIOT! Tell me what they have won since Johnson left? ONE Super Bowl under Barry Switzer ([xx(]} and that was with the left-over Jimmy Johnson talent. When those players got old, couldn't replace them. Been mediocre ever since. And as long as he owns the team, I really, really, really hope the current trend continues. [}:)]0 -
OH, now the truth comes out you just hate Jerry Jones-fair enough.
Every franchise goes through dark times and this is it for Dallas. THEY WILL BE BACK! maybe..........[8D]0 -

When Parcells had the heart problems and returned to football, I believe he decided that he was going to stay calm and coach as a mentor and gentleman. The fire and passion to win that he once had was no longer there and I think he realized it this year.0 -
I don't see what is the problem with Parcells. My local team is the Detroit Lions!!! 23-73 over 6 years!! 0
