Undercover agents from a private media firm owned by Micheal Bloomberg and operating on a state funded grant from the office of Feinstien, Boxer, Schumer and Bloomberg enter chat rooms, bulletin boards and social networking sites posing as gun enthusiests. When contacted by likeminded individuals, the undercover agents pose as gun dealers willing to sell weapons that violate specific federal or state gun laws. A meeting is arraigned and the suspect is arrested and sent to federal prison for........ENGAGING IN THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS TO BEAR ARMS !!0 -

But he got rid of his old computer and now the cops have no evidence.
He's crazy like a fox man.[:D]0 -

The Gunboards Forums are already under some kind of attack designed to overload their servers.
Reportedly at any given hour, there are on average between 400 and 700 registered members on the website. But the website is receiving up to 75K hits (request for information) that is clogging up the servers and causing technical problems.0 -
I'll continue to post on GB and exercise my 2nd ammendment rights.
The news agencies can kiss my ugly butt.[V]0 -
Sounds like they are setting up folks who are in violation of existing gun laws. They can try to set me up all they want, but all my guns are legal as were the transactions to acquire them.
What I object to is the likely tone of the show which will lump ALL gun owners in with illegal gun owners.0 -
DAMN MONKEY.

The problem is if they are acting in concert with the police or feds they are required to follow the same guidelines as police.
If they just put the bait out there, and someone takes the hook, they can reel them in, on TV.0 -
how stupid. they can do the same thing on any street corner trying to sell a rock, trying to sell some tail, stolen tv's, whatever, but when they do this escapade, you know what they're going to say... "awful! horrible! somebody's got to do something!" ain't no different than anything else, you put up something -anything- you're going to find somebody willing to buy it. there isn't a point to be made.
now, you know they're going to come across plenty of ppl first who won't buy it, and would probably turn their sorry asses in. but being the internet, who's going to say what to whom? BUT they know better than to go to one of the GUN SHOWS they're always squawking about. they'd get busted and/or kicked out in no time, disproving all their bs lies and making them look like fools. noooo, they wouldn't do that. they know better.0 -
they're gonna put this on the air? I'd like to see them hook up with DWS, now that would be a hoot. 0 -

Why don't the police arest the tv people for selling illegal arms 0 -
How about we get the word out that $200.00 Glocks are likely not as good a deal as one might think.
Greed is a funny thing and we all have a hard time resisting a great deal.
But, use some common sense, buyer beware.
If we truly break known laws they have us.
Don't break laws
Entrapment or not if it seems too good to be true, it likely is.
I don't like watching the sick guys getting popped for wanting young girls but I prefer them getting caught to getting away with it.
If we make sure we don't get caught up in these they will have no show to put on.

To make for sensational copy, I wouldn't put it past the Bloomberg enterprise to fabricate a sting operation. If they can't report on a [legitimate] firearms violation, they may very well make one up.
That's the scary part. Joe0 -

NBC do that? Oh Puleeze!
It isn't as if they put explosives or anything in the fuel tanks of trucks to make them blow up nice in staged accidents or anything.
You're paranoid!0 -
Why/how can someone be arrested for a legal firearm transaction??
I don't understand where the illegality is happening, here ??

Fabrication: like ABSCAM. Did not mean to/allude to the use of explosives. An ABSCAM tailored sting is just the ticket for the newsies, if they are anti-gun driven.
That's what I meant. That's the scary part. Joe
EDIT: Just read your signature. Most free societies have liberties granted to them through parlimentary edict. We allow that our liberties have already existed as a God-given right, and our constitution is merely affirming its existence.
And yes, I agree. If I weren't faced with these issues first-person singular, say, as an outsider, I wouldn't hesitate to call my posting paranoid. Best, Joe0 -

I think you missed my snark there.
Dateline got in big trouble a number of years ago for fabricating the dangers of side-saddle gas tanks on pickup trucks. They tried and tried and tried to get a truck to explode in a side-impact situation and couldn't. At the end of the day, they decided to rig a pickup with explosives, and it went all up nice and pretty... until NBC was found out to be a fraud.
But, it helped generate a ton of lawsuits against the auto industry.0 -

very true, crack is old news and has lost the sensationalism of drama, EVIL GUNS that's where its at, can you imagine the ratings on this one, gun owners will watch it to see the enemy, anti gunners will watch it to stock up on ignorance, and fuel their plight0 -
Dateline will use the tag line "you think you know what a gun criminal looks like, but wait until you see just how ordinary they appear to be. In this clip, watch as a SCHOOL TEACHER tries to buy a GUN. Remember folks, this is a man who is trusted to protect your children" 0 -

Not my children. I don't trust anyone with my children, that's why I don't have any.
Oh yeah, that should keep you away from my house, too.0 -
I think that the NRA or someone should buy airtime and interview gun owners who have successfully defended themselves using firearms. They should do it just like a news show with interviews, background checks on the criminals, revisiting the scene in a walk through, etc. They need to expand beyond sportsman weekend shows even if they have to buy infomercial airtime. 0
