Does anyone in here use Game Cameras?
My grandfather and I are thinking about purchasing a digital game camera to put on our farm land where we deer hunt. Ive done a little research on the Moultrie Game Spy and Bushnell cameras and if anyone uses one I would like some reccomendations before I purchase.
Also, I would love to see some pictures taken with one.

Apparently some do, as I have seen many results posted here. 0 -
I use the Moultrie Game Spy and am happy with it. For an entry level camera it would be hard to beat. I bought a memory card for mine to increase the number of pictures it would hold. But for $100 you won't find a better one.

Out in Central Kansas a guy had a camera and when he looked at the picture there was a big buck and right behind it was a big cougar. They don't think the buck even knew the cougar was behind him, it made quite a stir in the local town. Reports have been coming in for some time of cougars being seen but this one was on flim. I would say the camera would be fun as well as good. 0 -
yep I have one of the Moultrie Game Spy 1.3 mp and it has taken great pic. I have just got two more of the newer 3.1 mp that have plugs for a solor panel one has taken right at 100 pic and the batt. is still at 98% as long as the suns out. I have two cards for each camera that way i can just change out the card and never move the cam.
I cant see paying more then 150.00 for a cam when im getting great pic. from them. I have a friend that got a cheaper one from wally word for around 50.00 and if the deer is not with in say 6 to 8' you can forget seeing what it is. heres a few of the pic. from mine.

I think Bushnell may take a little better pic. then the older moultrie 1.3 do you know what mp it is.
I have two of the newer 3.1 that im waiting to see how the pic. turn on them.

mrbruce that is a very nice snapshot!!
It looks like the Bushnell's are more expensive than the Moultrie's but comparing the photos posted here the Bushnell's picture quality looks better.
Honestly, Ive been leaning towards the 1.3mp Moultrie Game Spy 100 simply because of the price factor. My grandfaters idea is that we can buy the camera, use if for a few weeks, then sell the used camera on Ebay. I think these cameras are very neat and am hoping grandpa will really enjoy it and decide to keep using it as a hobby.
When i have the camera and photos taken i will be sure to post them for everyone.0 -
I got this shot the other day. It was a BEAUTY!!!!!
