Excellent choices. I always thought that Clint overplayed his parts. He was supposed to be a badass, but it was rediculously so.

Clint is FAR better behind the camera than in front of it. He's a good actor, but he's an excellent director.0 -
Many that are already listed, plus Billy Bob Thornton.
XXXXXX0 -
Steve McQueen; Lee Remick 0 -
I agree with sarge_3ad the list he posted in about as near perfect as any for what I consider GREAT actors.
I don't think all the trash talking foul mouthed shows today have any real talent, & if they do , they keep it well hidden.
Whats wrong with have'n actors that rep real americans, & are true hero's that kids can watch and respect the values instilled.
Dan0 -
Tom Hanks(Forest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, and more)
Kevin Costner(Robin Hood, Wyatt Earp, Field of Dreams, The Guardian)
Adam Sandler(Happy Gilmore)--Debatable, but the guy makes me crack up
Damian Lewis(Band of Brothers)0 -
Can add Val Kilmer to that list as well. 0 -
Lorenzo Lamas
Rob Schneider
Rob Zombie
Barney Rubble.0 -
Some other heavy hitters not mentioned are....
Steve bucemmi
Michael Madsen
Harvey Keitel0 -
Each to his own opinion however as eric cartman said; 'tom hanks couldnt act his way out of a nut sack'.
Does no one here like Bruce Willis as an actor?

Personally I believe that dirty harry does just as good on camera as directing . However why does he need to make a movie about the japanese side of the war. Those guys were inhuman arseh#*es, why does the movie going public need to see that for.
This is one thing I dont like about him (I dont much care for the chinese now, but what those japs did in that unit '731' is deplorable: not to mention the japs have purposely written all its war atrocities out of the history books).
Kinda ranted a bit, but I think he should stop that way of making films.0 -
Bruce Willis, no not much.
Eastwood is a fine director, and a star of enduring quality. As an actor he has a very limited emotional range.
don't care for Hanks, but some of his work is outstanding.
Same with Sean Penn.
Costner had two movies that did really well, Field of Dreams was perfect, but he cannot act. and much of what he has done is pretty poor.
Forest Whittaker is underrated and perhaps under exposed, but an outstanding actor. Unfortunately he is a risk taker with roles, and a lot of the movies he has been in I don't really care to see, like the current one about Idi Amin Dada, The Last King of Scotland.0
