Another problem that I discovered !

I had some nieghbors who moved out on one side of me and the house is up for sale.

I just discovered that when they moved out they dumped a bunch of crap (ragged coutches, mattresses, ect.) on my side of the property and left it there!

Since they had allready moved and I have no way of contacting them I called the realator to get them to remove the stuff!

Do you all think it would be worth while for me to also contact the sherriffs office on this as well?

    Give the realtor a little time to take care of the problem, GRD, a week or two. Then, call them again and give them a time limit. Tell them you will take it higher then.......

    Yes, If only to have it documented incase the realator drops the ball or give you a hard time.

    Well, they probably illegaly dumped, but you probably want to have some proof it's their trash.

    That is kinda what I was thinking. That would be if the realtor does not do something about it.

    You should have moved all the junk onto their front yard at night and skipped calling the realtor. When the realtor showed up, hopefully with prospective buyers, the junk would have been noticed[}:)]! The owners couldn't claim the junk as theirs because it would be admitting they dumped the stuff and everyone sees the junk on their property. Then it becomes their problem again.

    around these parts dumping without a permit or permission you are looking at $10.000 fine and hard time, blow the slobs in, they dumped on you and yours.

    Call the realtor and see if they will give you the name of the owner of the home. They must have rented this home to the scumbags. Realtor may have rented thru their company and then they are responsible. Whoever is responsible just tell them to come get the trash or you will file with the magistrate a littering complaint. Littering in SC is serious.

    I just returned from the Sherriffs office. There has been an incident report made and I am notifying the realator that my former nieghbors have untill monday morning to remove the stuff! After that I will be going to the Magistrate and have a warrent issued on the matter!

    I did this after talking with my landlord who said to do just this thing and he will stand behind me 100%.[;)][:D]

    I had a similar matter happen years ago. People that were not my Tenants were dumping couches, tires, appliances next to my dumpster. Tenants couldn't get tag numbers or id's, so I went in the trash and found out by paperwork who was doing it. I called the SOB's up and told them to come get their junk or I would sign a warrant for littering. 4 different folks came with trucks and were happy to get their furniture and appliances out of the dumpsters and off the premise.

    Making more friends in the neighborhood I see...

    Maybe you could pile it out in the street so the guys who drive to fast past your house and assault you would crash into it.

    If you rent, seems like your landlord would take the ball on this matter. After all, it's his property, not yours. It seems odd that the sheriff didn't need the land owner on record on the complaint.

    I have full run of the property!

    I did contact my landlord and he did say to go to the sherriff and handle it how I pleased and he would stand behind me 100%.

    On the incident report I am listed as the complaintent with my landlord as the victom. This covers all bases by SC law acording to the seargent I delt with at the sherriffs department.
