30-06 Ammo Question???
Hey guys. My supplier of Lake City M2 30-06 150gr. ammo is sold out and I need more.
I have a remmington 30-06 742 woods master semi-auto rifle. I was wondering if any of you have expierience with the Greek M2 military 30-06 150gr. ammo? Will it function properly in my remmington auto loader? It sounds like it should.
I have never used the Greek ammo and don't want to get a bunch to find out it's useless.
I just use the military ammo for plinking.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks!!!

It's loaded to function in M-1 Garands, won't be a problem in your Rem. 0 -
It's a little hotter than the Lake City, but it shoots just fine. Here's a link to Orion 7's ammo sales site with a 200m target shot with the Greek ammo:

Scroll down the page to find the ammo and target. I've shot probably a thousand rds myself through my M1, never had a malfunction, misfire or odd shooter.
Hope this helps....
Cheers,

Good luck finding quatity LC. If you do let me know about it. Greek is hotter and dirtier than lake city. I like LC better but have shot both. I have a NEW PRODUCTION sa garand and I will not put greek through it anymore. After 1 clip of greek the op rod came out of the grove on the side of the reciever and had to ship it back to the factory for a new, and free, op rod but that was a pain. Probably just a fluke but I don't want to have to get a 3rd op rod b/c of greek ammo. I have shot about 100 rds of greek through a gi garand and had no problems. 0 -
First I appreciate the input guys!!
I figured it would be fine especially in a single shot such as a garand ect.
My main concern is my rem is semi-auto and as you guys know semi-autos are more sensitive to dirt/grime/dirty firing rounds ect. But for plinking purposes the greek ammo sounds like it should be fine. Just might have to shoot less of it between cleanings.
I bought 1000 rounds of LC this spring for just under $7/box(shipping included)and have about 550 left. I was at the gun show this morning and my ammo guy has LC for $7.90/20 rounds. Now he isn't the one I bought the 1000 rounds from. But if LC is no longer available I might call him and buy what he has left.0
