I have seen different sights on Mausers. I have seen just the single blade sight and a hood sight. Which one was German WW2 era?

  The Germans issued hoods, but a lot of guns have lost them and I suspect some never had them.

  Mauser has a great and long history. It has had an influence in many different countries. Great guns to shoot with.

  oh, I just realized that the hood is a seperate piece that can be bought. Anybody know how they attach?
