Need help from the Navy guys........
Hey guys, I am trying to put together a framed gift honoring my grandfathers WW2 service and for part of it I would like to find his patch. I need 2 of them and I have already checked ebay without any luck. Please let me know if you guys have any leads. I am enclosing a pic of the patch I need.

Since the TM and GM rates were just combined on 1 Oct. 2007 there should be some TM rating badges available somewhere.
Yours is a TM2 but they come as TM1 (a 3rd chevron) and get cut down.
Try this for a start and ask for the old TM1 Rating badge. Not the GM badge.

I will make a trip on base day after Christmas to the uniform shop and pick you up a couple of these. They should have them. As Wagon Wheel stated, they ome as 1st class (three chevrons) and you will have to cut them down.
However, I will need to know which ones you want? Meaning, i assume you want the one just like in the picture. That is for the dress blue jumper uniform. Todays rating badges for that uniform are a darker navy blue (almost black)than the WWII era.
The rating badge for the dress white jumper is white with navy blue eagle (crow) and navyblue chevrons. Also it is of a polyester twill. Thier is about six different types of material used to match all the different type uniforms. There is even one with all "gold" thread on the chevrons, that one costs a bundle, and is worn as a testimonial to 12 years consecutive good conduct.
