k98 Mauser sling

I was wondering if people might be able to post pictures of their Mauser slings, preferebly where they attach to the stock. I have the slit in the stock and recently ordered a reproduction sling that the guy stamps and date codes to look authentic. Problem is I cant figure out how to attach it to the gun. Please dont treat me a handicapped, I am pretty handy but I dont see how this can attach without a "keeper'. He states that I shouldnt need one. Here is the ebay item number of the one I bought 250137158289. Now he is telling me that it is not to be used with a mauser.

  Yeah, the one I ordered does not have the buckel like stop or "keeper". Makes it a little difficult to use. Thanks to both of you for the help, especially nononsense for the step by step link.
