well i made up my mind. i'm going with the norinco nhm 91 i still want a Winchester 70 some day but i can get one any day of the week the ak i might not be able to. that and i just dont like the idea of spending over 30.00 for a box of ammo. that was a reason that i had gotten rid of another gun. and i didnt want that to happen again. thanks for all the info and comments 0 -
They stopped making Winchester Model 70's in March 2006. So they are going to get Very Expensive. 0 -
your info is for a mak 90 try looking for a nhm 91 the main difference is that the mak 90 runs a shorter barrel the nhm 91 was 23 1/4 inch barrel.

they stopped importing these in 95 and they only imported them from 94 to 95 so i think i'll have better luck trying to find a Winchester later down the road then i would a nhm 91

I don't know what your Thor is worth, but the NHM-91 will bring $450-$600. The Mak-90 in that auction should end up around around $600 but only because it's milled ... not really a comparable gun.
Notice the rich brown finish ... that's how it should look. Also, the grip area of the NHM-91 is more slender and longer than that of the Mak-90.
If you think you'll shoot the NHM-91 more then that's what you should do (and probably what I would do) The original Norinco have a really sweet trigger, and if you wanted to put a conventional stock on it you can, just make sure your parts count is legal ... not more than 10 imported parts, so you'll probably need 5 US parts like the stock & pistol grip(Ironwood makes a nice walnut set) and a US made trigger group and you're good to go!0 -
i went with the nhm 91 should be here by the end of the week i hope. i know the nhm 91 will get more range time because of the price of ammo. 0
