M24??

What is currently the standard issue "sniper" rifle for the Army and Marine Corps, i believe its called the M24, im not sure but i thought i heard somewhere that its a remington 700??

  The M40 was based on the 700 platform. I'm not sure what the standard issue is. There might be some M21's still floating around. Along with M24's.

  The "new" sniper rifle is the M107
  
  do a search for the information. I'm not posting it on here.
  
  Here's a good site for some info. The M107 been out for awhile so most of the information is readily available. I usually don't like to post anything about the new armament equipment that comes through my office for opsec reasons but like I said, it's been out for awhile now.

  I believe the army was using the m24 and its variants while the USMC is using the m40a1 and m40a2 (both of them based on the remington 700) as standard issues and as mentioned before sometimes they bring out the big gun (m107 or m82 Barret)
