Subject: One of our Newest - Mach 4 Range - WOW!
The plane in these pictures is still officially the 'Air Vehicle Number 1', a prototype, on board the USS George Washington CVN-73 for catapult fit checks.
Not exactly still Top Secret but certainly not yet made public.
It will be known as the F/A-37. Although specs are classified, it is believed to be Mach 3.5 (top speed in the Mach 4 range), super-cruise stealth fighter/bomber/interceptor with approximately a
4,000nm range.

I have poor taste.
I enjoyed it.
The special effects were superb, and the aircraft was REALLY great.

First thing I noticed is the canopy/fuselage fit. It's horrendous. Is that scene on a real carrier, however?
Also, no ejection lanyards above her head. No sell. (Sure would love to have that forward visibility, though. Joe0 -

Well, I thank the original poster for my morning laugh! I too was wondering about the aircraft being chained down and the cat steam blowing to port. Nowhere near 30 knots headwind across that flight deck. lol
Also, I noticed the pilots hands are not in correct position for launch. The cat wont be fired unless the pilot's hands are visible to the air con wing.
Looked like a real flight deck from a real aircraft carrier...thats about it.
