NMDOT used to use Magnesium Chloride as a deicer until it was proven to be slicker than snot on a doorknob if used PRIOR to snowfall; several deaths were blamed on its' use this year alone, and it has been banned as a deicer on highways. 0 -

triple 13 fertilizer 13-13-13 will melt ice just as good,,cost 1/2 as much and will make your grass pretty and green this spring 0 -
Salt is illegal here in CA, they just use sand. 0 -
We know some people that grows cucumbers and they hold them in salt brime and when they take the pickles out they sell the salty solution to several states and that's the liquid you see being applied to the hiways. Does you hiway smell like dill pickles hahah[:D][:D][:p] 0
