Mexico Engaged in `Labor Dumping'
The underlying reason for America's illegal alien problem is a sick economic system in Mexico that leads to the "dumping" of labor into the U.S.
That's the view of Steve H. Hanke, a professor of applied economics at the Johns Hopkins University and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute.
To illustrate how "labor dumping" functions, he points to Yugoslavia under Tito, which sought to deal with a surplus of workers.
"Opening Yugoslav borders - at least by communist standards - provided Tito with the means to dump surplus labor and mask flaws in the paradise of worker-managed firms," Hanke writes in Forbes magazine.
The result: By the early 1970s "Tito's broom" had swept 11 percent of the Yugoslav labor force into Western Europe, and those workers sent home money that amounted to 30 percent of Yugoslavia's exports.
Today Mexico is the world's largest labor dumper. But politicians on both sides of the immigration reform debate "fail to mention the source of the problem: Mexico's statist [highly centralized] economy," according to Hanke. "Like Yugoslavia, Mexico can't produce enough jobs . . .
"Rather than modernize the economy, Mexico's politicians use Tito's broom."
As a result, 30 percent of Mexico's labor force is working in the U.S., and last year they sent home $23 billion, 12 percent of Mexico's exports.
Hanke concludes: "There is little chance of stemming migrant inflows as long as the countries supplying immigrants embrace policies that effectively mandate labor dumping."

All the petitions sent did nothing.75 % of the population don't want the illegals here but our reps do nothing.I've started my own deal on it,when I see a landscape crew, stone workers, roofers, any work like that with obvious illegals I stop and ask if they have green cards and then make it clear that I do work for the government and I do have a cell phone. In a few cases the illegals were gone the next day. 0 -
i dont debate the illegal immigration issue anymore. i am just waiting for the first shots to be fired and then i'll help out with solving the problem. 0 -

I have contacted my reps until they think I am an extremist. Just because I don't respond to some of these threads doesn't mean I have not made my voice known. Just gotten past the point of repeating myself here. You have a point though, we all need to let our voices be heard. 0 -

How damn true. The only two main things we get from Mexico is drug trafficing and Illegal Aliens . They seem to get one hell of a lot of money back in their country from these two items. That is all they want. 0 -

I've long been of the opinion that exporting Mexican labor to the US is just as much of a problem for Mexico as it is for us, maybe more so. The more ambitious, disgruntled, dissatisfied, alienated Mexicans we have here, the less pressure there is for Mexico to reform itself and create the kind of environment, instituions, laws, and systems that are necessary to create true and lasting prosperity, of which Mexico is fully capable if given the right set of circumstances. 0 -

If that were the case, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Portugal would all be experiencing the same population growth issue, instead of the demographic crisis of a shrinking population and ever lower birth rates.0 -
Well, let's see - I have made now 12 trips of around 400 miles to the Canada Border to stand watch for over 60 days, have donated some $1250 to Minutemen, made 20 antennas and trained countless new Ham Radio Operators "for the cause", I have stood vigil (protested) at the Federal detention center to show solidarity with the Border agents when Ramos and Compean got railroaded. I am planning a (approx) 3000 mile trip to the AZ Border next month to stand watch there for a week or more. I have spoken at several gatherings (Republican Women's) luncheons about the problem of Illegal Immigrants, I have written over 1000 letters to every Congressman and Senator, letters to the editor in many newspapers, and have even spoken on Michael Savage's and Michael Medved's shows.

Thank you Handload I am a active Minuteman member and have walked on pickets to protect our workers. I send approx 25 to 50 emails a week and I have been to our state house to visit our Elected officals several times. We showed up for the Truckers Rally in support of our American truckers. Most people just talk and bitch and Washington doesn't get the message so we need more people writing them. You can use Congress.org and send alot of free emails to any elected offical. A 41 cent stamp still works best or in second place a fax and phone calls to local and federal offices. Something I wrote while I was on vacaton...
We all know what most of us (working folks) want.
We want Illegals OUT or at least, OUT long enough to do the proper paperwork, like our anscestors did.
Somehow, Proximity and Browness seem to rob folks of their respect for the Rule of Law, Traditional respect for America, and common sense.
BUT, there are some harsh realities which make the latest SCAMNESTY, SHAMNESTY, FLIM-FLAMNESTY the flavor of what we are likely to see coming down the pike for some time.
Here's how it shakes out, from my research, anecdotal info gatherings, empirical evidence gleaned from years in a manufacturing-based business, small businessman and multi-tasking entrepeneur, first-hand contact with our enforcers, and an almost religious observance of our political wh0res and their ways.

They own all the wells and intrastructure to get oil out of the ground, or seafloor, transport it and refine it, and get it to market.
PEMEX was born, for free, as Mexico, and Mexicans, didn't have the technical capacity to discover and extract the oil. British and American companies had been doing that, since they had invested their own monies, to establish said infrastructure, before having it stolen by the corrupt Mexican government.

Fast forward to 2005....
Mexico has promoted the invasion of the United States by it's most unskilled labor force, the kind which would be normally incensed to rebellion by the Left or the Right. Current estimates are that ONE IN SEVEN able-bodies Mexican males lives and works (most off the books), and collects social services benefits in the US. Punching out kid after kid without paying, overloading hospitals ERs, Educational costs, not to mention the "Welfare" rolls are straining at the seams.
The Government of Mexico, has engaged in Acts of War against the US Government. Glossed over and discounted by political prostitutes and 5th Columnist enablers of the Reconquista we, the sheeple, have been told to "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" for so long that utterly ridiculous "explanations" of armed Mexican Military incursions, sometimes 100 miles into the territory of the US could actually be contributed to "accidents", as though somehow a Mexican isn't capable of reading "North" on a compass.
(that cocksmoker, Chertoff actually said that "most could be contributed to accident" regarding the 650 or so armed incursions which have occurred or been reported in the last 5 years)
Oil becomes the #2 source of GDP for Mexico as "Monies from workers living abroad" (read: Tonks, working off the books wiring their income, that they don't spend on Bud Light, back to Mexihole) takes over the #1 spot.
In typical fashion, the greedy businesses (you are all traitors, if you employ Tonks) banks and others get in line to make money off of what is basically, treason against the United States, in an effort to appear more "reasonable" when they are actually contributing to the destruction of the Country.
It is estimated that the 24 BILLION (that's 24 thousand-million) USD which bypasses the corrupt government and goes directly to the middle-class-less Mexicans, has served to stave off rebellion, and as long as the figure keeps growing, will continue to do so.
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.
American people, in some cases, and American companies, both large and small, have become dependant on the "new slave labor class" of disaffected Mexicans.
Larger American companies have moved vast tracts of manufacturing jobs to Mexico as wel. Basically, what is too big or bulky to be shipped from China is made in Mexico these days. Washers, Dryers, Refridgerators, Heavy Equipment, etc..etc.., Ford Trucks, PT Crusiers ... you name it.
Why?....The Question...Why would our elected officials, who "work for us" be upset and claim "intimidation" when confronted by angry citizens. WHY, would our elected officials commit acts of Treason against our own Constitution, cowtow to a hostile foriegn government who is at odds with., and has cross-purposes to "their bosses"' wishes?
Nationalisation. The US .gov dumps buckets of money into the Mexican military, in the form of "anti-terror" funds. These monies make sure that the supply line is never threatened and the US Corps keep making money, while selling out US workers.
The Labor Unions, themselves a socialist entity, are partially responsible for pricing Ameircan Labor out of the World Market. And, like it or not, we ARE competing with the World, in the market of trade goods and labor. In order to be able to charge twice as much, we have to build things TWICE AS WELL.
We don't. But the Labor Pimps make sure that every Tyrone, who barely got a GED, gets 35 bucks an hour to put on lug nuts because he's UAW, and then we wonder how we have screwed ourselves in such an egregious manner.
Meanwhile, there are no jobs in many parts of the East and Northeast. Teens who used to mow, fix, paint and clean are now being replaced by Tonks, in places where the closest thing most folks knew about Mexico came from Taco Bell only 5 years ago.
The Tonks do not see themselves as Americans, and they never will. They see themselves as working toward their Retirement, in Mexico.
Do they want to vote? You bet, many already are. They'd love to affect the US government more than they already do.
But the sad fact is, even with the backlash which would follow, Mexico would have nothing to lose by nationalising all of our manufacturing facilities IF something real were done about the Border and these Illegals. Our economy could be brought to it's knees in a month.
Our choice would be to acquiesce to them or Invade.I doubt anyone would have the intelligence to say "why don't we just start making more stuff here, without the damn Unions?"
I don't hold out much hope for the future.
There's a reason why ammo prices have doubled and tripled in the last 2 years. Part of it is the metals market, and part of it is fuel prices, but I see more and more people buying "as much as they can afford" rather than "what they'll go through this summer".
