School admin stops sale of breast cancer T-shirt
The shirt was inspired by Kelly Rooney who died of breast cancer in July 2006 at age 43, leaving behind a husband and five children. Rooney loved the "Save Second Base" slogan so much she used it as her team name for last year's Breast Cancer 3-Day 60-mile walk.
After she died, Rooney's sister and friend established the Save 2nd Base organization and launched a line of namesake T-shirts in her memory. Fifty percent of the proceeds benefit the Kelly Rooney Foundation.
But when the teenagers tried to sell the shirts, school administrators said no way: the sexual innuendo was deemed inappropriate for school.

But----in Portland, Maine, the school board approved giving birth control pills to 11 year olds without parents consent.
Go figure!

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that T-shirt.

Classic and I were talking the other day about t-shirts etc and what slogans were offensive...
Seems to be everything is offensive ....Cant wear a damn thing without offending someone, but if you go naked, you offend someone else...Are they going to dictate what a person can wear now too?...
Let's see, skirts covering the knees, pants can only sit on the waist, no shorts shorter than bermuda-0000000000ooooooops..cant say that word either, just above the knee for the length of the shorts, no black clothing,(dont want to offend the blacks), no white, no red, yellow or whatever other color....think you all get the drift..
Cripes its getting pathetic, cant say anything, cant wear anything, cant do anything, ohhhhhhhhhh we wont get into gestures of any sort...0 -

I so tired of what is politically correct and non-offensive. We live in a free society, and people need to grow up. It's just part of the real world! I understand not allowing vulgarity or pornography, but politics, religion and opinions on t-shirts should be protected under free speach. In fact, I kind of like knowing what someone else thinks or believes. Maybe I want to be friends with them, or stay away from them. Either way, this is just stupid! 0 -
