Matt's funeral
Attended Rick's son's (Matt's) funeral this afternoon. It was heart wrenching.
I did find out that he had an impeckable driving record driving trucks and 18 wheelers for the past 6 years, which is how he got the job. He had worked for them for 2 months, and his training was on how to operate the truck in loading and unloading, not in how to drive it. Seems the accident was not his fault as he was cut off when a car changed lanes in front of him and then hit the brakes. He made the decision to take the shoulder and median rather than plowing into the back of the car and risk killing them. He lost control of the truck when the tires rubbed the median and started to climb it. He overcorrected causing the truck to flip on it's side.
Remember the Webb's in your prayers.

not to hijack the thread but I drive a truck for a living and feel this must be said since we had some less than compassionate responses the other day, you should see how some of these motorist drive around these trucks no respect or don't care or something they forget that without trucks America would stop, as a bumper sticker I saw said "good stuff? trucks bring it! " sorry for their loss Danny we will remember all of you in our prayers 0 -

Still praying here Danny.
Are the culprits being prosecuted?0 -
Prayer's sent.
Danny, on your original thread, I posted that accidents involving professional truck drivers are usually the fault of the "other" driver.
Still, that doesn't change much. Matt will be missed by his family and friends.0 -
Prayers sent for the family in their time of need. 0
