Hehehe, since I'm "grown up" I get to decide when to open presents, my presents...

I got $$$$, and a new son.

    Christmas this year is for the kids, I did however get a brand new red manure fork early, the horses are certainly impressed and willing to give me the material to test it out with.

    My Dad totally surprized me with a Night Vision Monocular.

    I have always wanted one but never could justify a quite talk myself into buying on.
    I just made a trip around back in the woods and am amazed at the ability to see in total darkness.
    With the infra red illuminator on I spotted sets of eyes twice which turned out to be wild rabbits.
    Very cool little toy.
    I also went in the chicken coop which is total black darkness and was able to count all the chickens and they were as clear as day.

    Santa brings me a new gun about every other year. This year, a Browning A Bolt II grade II/III with octagon barrell. In .270, of course. I musta been a good boy. (I had to help him with the cost a little.)

    and my merry christmas to me was a colt commander that I put in layaway for myself yesterday

    But most IMPORTANTLY I will spend the day with my family and people that I love and care about

    I got to watch my 2-1/2 year old daughter open her presents, which is always a thrill. And a laugh. And a warm-fuzzy.

    My wife and her dad conspired to get me things I need. Which is outstanding. He got me a holster for the M-28 and and one of those sets of multi-tools (big and small) that comes with nice clip-knives (small and smaller)in a denier holster. I got not one, but two sets of gunsmith's screwdrivers, one for the range and one for the shop plus some gun cleaning tools and a basic first aid kit for the truck. See, my wife and I have an agreement. I just circle what I want in the Cheaperthandirt.com catalog and she gets it for me. Christmas made easy.

    My wife wanted kitchen gadgets and organizers for the laundry room. But I also snuck up to Cabela's and got her a nice fleece vest she had been eyeing.

    God willing, my brother's drive from Denver won't make him too late for Christmas lunch (dinner, whatever)

    Family members all around, that is the best!

    A new Knee for the wife, $80,000 and counting - it is a VERY small Christmas here, but I'm OK with that.

    Have my Daughter Home from the USAF, for Birthday and Christmas - she missed last year for both.

    We are blessed to live where we do, in these times, and give thanks.

    All my cars are running, and we are all in pretty good health.

    I could not ask for more.

    I also have a new son this year(three months old). I didn't ask for Christmas this year, being that I get alot of stuff throughout the year. Around here, we do Christmas for the kids in the family.

    except about 10 years ago, my dad gave me his old microwave. made in 1982.

    I got to watch my grandson's first Christmas morning. I will get to see my granddaughter Friday. We took two of my late sister's dogs into our home and family (gives us four now.) A new Stihl chainsaw, a Streamlight Polystinger, a pulsonic shaver by Braun, and some green stuff.

    300 bucks, four inches of snow, and great time spent with mom, dad, and my wife.

    To those who were alone due to divorces starting or in progress, it happened to me once at Christmas time too, I'll be praying for y'all.

    I had an old copy of the National Audubon Guide to North American Birds that went up missing about 4 months ago. I love birds, and at least once a week, I am looking for it to identify some new bird at one of my feeders. I offered a bounty of $25 to whomever in the household returned/found it, but to no avail.

    Got a new one this morning...[:)]

    I got to be with my wife, my mom and dad who are 85 & 87 years old, and my sisters, niece and newphew, plus my brother-in-law. Family, you gotta love them, you only get one! The gift cards to Cabela's and Bass Pro were nice too.

    I just got off the phone with bingeebob, and found that he's a neighbor and a former active duty Marine (there is no such thing as an "ex-Marine").

    We're gonna get together pretty soon and I'm taking him to see my Spruce Goose museum.

    So for Christmas, I got a new friend, and found out I had some old friends that I didn't realize cared.

    All-in-all, a much better day than I expected. Thanks to all of you !!
