Oreilly.... antigun?
I saw a post the other day that stated Bill Oreilly was antigun. I've never heard him make an antigun statement or push that agenda. In fact he is usually against those that do. Could someone elaborate as to why Bill is antigun for me?

I have heard Bill state that he believes people have the right to own guns and to defend themselves, but he doesn't think people need bazookas. What he exactly means there I don't know. 0 -
I don't think people need bazookas either but if they want, can afford, and are responsible law abiding people then why not. 0 -
I'd like a bazooka. I don't really have any place to store it, but I'd like one.
I'd use mine turkey hunting.0 -
If you get one I'll hold it for you until gobbler season. 0 -

Seasons? I don't need no stinkin' seasons!
I live in Colorado, land of Ward Churchill. If he can get a job at the University of Colorado claiming that he is a Native American with no proof, then I'll hunt all danged-gum year for whatever I want, and then claim that I'm Native American if the game warden asks me.0 -
Well guess I'll have to get my own then. Thanks for killing the dream. HA HA LOL 0 -

Anytime I can be of service, just let me know. [;)]
Meanwhile, I need some SAMs for goose hunting.0 -
No, he is not anti-gun. After the Katrina mess he came right out and said that he thinks people need to own guns for self-defense, since the government can't take care of you. He also said that everyone should have a week's worth of food and water on hand. 0 -

++1 I heard him say this too. Katrina was a hallmark event in the "don't defend yourself" world of PC anti-gun BS. Proved to all that we need the ability to protect ourselves. OReilly recognised this and said so.0 -

Hey! I was born in the U.S. So was my father. Come to thing of it, my grandfather was too. Doesn't that make me native American?0 -
Yes it does colonel. 0 -

After Katrina he came out and said he revised his position on firearm ownership, and he thinks everyone should have a handgun -- but that there is no place for "assault weapons" in society. He went on to say (not an exact quote, best I can rememeber it) "I mean, c'mon, nobody needs to own an AK-47. You don't have an AK-47 to protect yourself." 0 -

You sure as heck needed one during the LA Riots! A total breakdown of society, which gives you a small clue as to how things would be in this country in the big cities following any major attack or natural disaster. Wolf pack mentality will rule!!!![:0][:0][:0][:0]0 -
I agree Sig. Thats one of the reasons O'Reilly remains on my "scumball" list. 0 -

Prior to his turn around after Katrina, Oreally was indeed and anti gun jerk. Now he is just a jerk![:0]0 -
O'Reilly may believe in defending yourself but I have heard him (within the last two years) come out against "black guns". He didn't use those words but he was basically referring to "high capacity, semiautomatic, military-style firearms". O'reilly is no friend of the 2nd Ammendment. 0 -
Bill Oreily has said the he basically supports ALL gun control measures that are in place right now. He lives in New York with personal armed security guards. 0 -
He used to say he supported gun control laws that are on the books. But then after Katrina he said he supported gun ownership and self defense. That is a pretty good step in the right direction for a TV person. Lot better than people like Rosie, most of Hollywood, or even the typical local news reporter. 0
