Seeing as how that day is St. Patrick's Day and very near and dear to the hearts of our rugged, Irish brethren - cops, firemen and soldiers - perhaps the mealy-mouthed protestors will get a sampling of what step-dancing actually feels like when it's performed with closed fists upon the human anatomy.[;)][:D]

    Thanks Winchester 300 WSM and Slow_Hand -

I know of at least 20 retired SF guys that are going to be there, wish I could be with them.

I hope there's no violence at The Wall, but if they try to desecrate the Monument, there will be -- and a lot of years of frustration will be heaped on the anti war bunch. It's been a long time coming...

I would not want to be one who tried to throw paint on the Wall. Good for the "Eagles".

Here's a link from the Washington Post about the GOE:

I was there, along with a full charter bus load of friends, all vets or family of vets. I would say the pro group was at least 3x the anti group. There was some pretty raucous chanting and such, but that was all, no violence. One 40ish woman came up to us and was preaching that war never solved anything. I asked her if she was speaking English or German. It shut her up instantly and she just turned around and walked away. We also hung a sign on a porta pottie: Jane Fonda's Field Office. That got a lot of laughs from the vets.
