Just my opinion but, I think they'd be better off with an AR.

I still say a pump .223 rifle that takes an AR magazine is RETARDED!

    A semiautopump rifle?

i think it was stupid to arm the the deputies with one, and the officers with the other
at least they take the same mags

Exactly, I'm still a little confused about how you "pump" this carbine, if indeed it is pump-action.

    FOr a rifle, it's a rather short barrel, but it's a $700 pump.

Have you never fired a Remington 7600 pump? It functions just like a Remington 870 shotgun. Being from Pa, I have hunted many times with a 7600, they are sort of a cult gun in PA. The 7615P is just the 7600 chambered in .223 and uses standard M-16 mags. I like the idea. It would be real good for places that still ban Ar-15s and such. You can get them for under $500.00 from CDNN and such places.
