    Probably using his thrust reversers, that are used to help stop it on short runways.

    C-130's don't have thrust reverser's. They put the props in reverse pitch.

    Yes, it can back up. I watched the "short landing" technique demonstrated at an air show a few years ago. It is amazing what that big bird can do. The C130 can land on a runway too short for it to take off from without JATO assistance.

    Typical STOL stuff but great video, I like the short flare release at the end. I got a ride across the Baltic Sea a couple times in one like that. I think that's what our approach dives looked like too. The only Jet assisted take-off i've seen was when the Blue Angels were in town.

    Ahh. How would they reverse them that fast to get it to back up like that?
