Sub Shops
I have tried a whole lot of sub shops from Las Vegas to Sc, so far the best I have found is Jimmy Johns. Freaky Fast, Freaky Good. LOL. Subway cant compete neither can Port a subs, firehouse, or Jersey Mikes IMHO. Or course there are many I havent tried, but I am willing to [:p]

Good for you. An open mind is great. 0 -
Quiznos is #1 for chain stores. 0 -
I'm a big fan of Jimmy Johns also, especially if I am in a hurry. 0 -
Jimmy John's Billy Clubs can be addicting...... 0 -
Heres mine in order.
Subway, JJ, quiznos, jersey mikes, penn station
Jersey mikes just makes massive subs. I like subways bread and JJ's.0 -
Oh and i remember ordering JJ's once me and my roomate, and they were there delivered in under 5 minutes. [:0] I don't think there are any JJ's out here on the west coast. 0 -
Best subs ever are made at the Pickle Barrel in Bozeman Montana period end of story 0 -
Jimmy Johns was right across the the hall from my office. Pretty good but I got tired of it after I ate there 2 or 3 times a week for several years. 0 -
out here in Pa (philly) we have Pats and Ginos . . .the Best Cheese Steaks period
In Stone Harbor NJ. there is also a Pat's Famous Cheese Steaks, that makes great steaks( the guy actually worked at pats in philly before he was drafted into service in WWII and made the Normandy invasion) the guy is 88 years old and still cooking
when it comes to chain stores wee have Slacks Hoagie shack, the Steak and Hoagie factory and Lee's Hoagies. All are superior to Subway or them other national chains, but i still have a small spot in my heart for Subway0 -
I'm partial to G.E. elect. boat works 0 -
I dearly like Quiznos' and Sandwich Express. Great soup at both places, also.

Jimmy Johns are pretty good. The only problem I had with them is when I bought lunch with my debit card, got the reciept for $6.66. Got home that night and checked my bank account,And it showed a purchase at Jimmy Johns for $8.38[:0] So I called the store, they gave me the runaround, finally the mgr called me back and fixed the problem. Seems the machine was adding a tip. Not only mine, but everyone... 0 -
Quiznos is good but for a chain I like Deangelo's (spelling probably isn't right) They are in the North East which is where "grinders" (or as you call them "subs") were created. 0 -

+1...no one has ever topped a true Philly cheese steak
I heard the term "Hoagie" came form Hoag Island, and the hoagie is an original PA invention..ever hear that legend?0 -
As much as I love Philadelphia, I'll have to give them their due. I don't remember the names of the shops, but the best subs in the world are in Philadelphia. You have to call them "hoagies" to get one though. There used to be a little shop at Little Creek that made outstanding hoagies, but the owner was from Philadelphia. 0 -
Sorry, Southern California bashers - San Diego, again! Only
1.2 miles from our driveway.

It's all in the oil they use - shipped from S. Philly weekly or monthly.

The biggest thing I missed from leaving Aberdeen Proving Grounds was the Philly Cheese Steaks, That was till they opened up Philly's Best, Everything is shipped in from Philly and taist just like the origional. I'll drive past 20 subways to make it to Philly's. 0
