NO. I used to watch him in Atlanta and think he is a great guy and a great manager. To put up with George for this length of time has been a miracle. I hope he pulls off the upset, wins it all then retires :-)

I hate the Yankees...but I always thought Joe Torre was a decent guy.
I met him when I was 12 and he was playing for the Cardinals. I've got a ball he signed with several others that night.

Players only do that for cash nowadays....[:(]

Say bye to that $7 million per year contract, until the next team.

Joe Torre is a great baseball manager. "Stienbrainer" will most likely fire him, and he'll land a job for an owner who can appreciatle him.

I shouldn't butt in a a RED SOX fan but Joe is a good guy and a great manager. He has been paid millions of dollars over the past 12 years. If I were him and got canned, I take my dough and go home to a great life in retirement.

devils advocate here...but hasn't it been a while since he took the team to the world serious? I mean...George has high expectations and is running a bidness. If your brother-in-law was a great guy but a lousy worker would you keep him around?

I'll go against the flow here, I think he should get canned. After all what is is job? To win games, right? He is not winning in the post season with the best line up in the past 50 years, that tells me that he is not doing his job. I know lots of nice guys that are in the wrong job, but you do not continue to employ a guy just because he is nice, you employ someone because they get the job done.
