Hear about the nut-job that bombed a school in Michigan, killing 45 and injuring 58? Most of his victims were 1st through 6th grade students.
He was apparently upset over his property taxes being raised to build a new school in his community. He schemed his way into a job as a handyman doing electrical work in the school building and used this access to wire over a ton of Pyrotol explosive and dynamite both in and under the school.
After killing his wife at their farm he set off firebombs that destroyed every structure on the place then about a half hour later the charges he'd set at the school went off, collapsing the better part of the building full of students. A short time after rescuers arrived and began rendering aid he drove up and set off a large car bomb, causing further casualties.
This happened May 18, 1927 in Bath, Michigan.
Imagine the fallout if this were to happen in today's world.
