What Am I Doing Wrong?
Please go look at my auctions. In particular, look at the books. Some of these books are long out of print, fairly scarce, and quite valuable. According to my limited research, I have them priced under market. So, why are they not selling?
Should I list them on a book-only site?

I stood in front of the mirror and said: "Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candyman."
Nothing happened.

Dave,
I don't collect S&W and people that do don't read. [8D]
Colt, military arms related, or sword books I'll bid on if I see them.
Kidding aside, you might want to list them on Amazon or eBay as the book dealers mostly search there. I seldom search GB for books except from Tsman.0 -

Amazon takes such a huge bite out of your auction price...0 -

David,
I've got some very pricey out-of-print books myself. I listed them on eBay with as many key words as I could think of, and never got a bid, the asking price was VERY reasonable.
The problem with these out-of-print books is that you have to locate someone who is pretty much looking for it to begin with. My guess is you'd have better luck on Amazon than you would on eBay, since Amazon is more book-oriented than eBay.

I notice that all books are lumped together. Sub catagories of Gunsmith Books, Hunting books and other books would be a positive step in making the book catagory more buyer friendly. 0 -
I used to sell out of print/antique books - might want to try
AbeBooks.com - there are a different type of folk that cater
to that site - probably more 'friendly' for your type of books.

David, when I want to find gun stuff I come to Gunbroker. If I'm looking for stuff for a car I'll go to fleabay. If I'm looking for a book I go to amazon. I will go to the specialist sites to find what I need as I have a better chance when there are so many to choose from. 0
