The New Jersey Bear Hunt.
About a dozen hunt opponents gathered at a weigh station at Wawayanda State Park, confronting hunters and forming "bear rescue teams" with plans to tend to wounded bears and follow hunters in what they said was a mission of mercy. Many protesters wore bright orange shirts, the same color required of hunters.

Oh Bertha, there he is in that thick brush. Now crawl in there and take the bullit out and bandage the poor thing. What do you mean not you? I saw him you get to fix him. Thats not a really nice thing to say. Well maybe he's already dead. Poke him with a stick and see if it is still alive.

How about converting a M-1 carbine into a 357 mag?
Change the barrel. Resurface the bolt to take the rimmed round. The magazine will work as it is.
Now that would be some real fun.

Back in the '60s there were many conversions done on M-1 carbines as they were as plentiful as sand on the seashore. One of the most popular was in 9mm and used mostly in Israel. I have never heard of one in .357 or even .38 for that matter, but it would be very cool. If you want something similar with a bit more power you could always pick up a Ruger Deerfield.
