    Natural Bridge is nice. http://www.virginia.org/site/description.asp?AttrID=10073

Richmond/Petersburg is 2 hours further and Jamestown, Williamsburg, Yorktown are another hour beyond. Lots of history around these parts. Yankees, too. [:D]

As a mater of fact, I helped tie the rebar in that bridge. Shows you how old I am. Seriously, I wouldn't call the people in Stonewall Jackson's neck of the woods "yankees". They don't much like crackers, anyway.[:(!]

Paul, nice area, you will enjoy it if you go,drive up from Georgia to North Carolina [mt.airy] jump on the Blue Ridge parkway to Roanoke and take it over to Natural Bridge,Va area beautiful drive on the parkway speed limit is 45mph lots of pull off spots to sight see and then jump on the shenandoah parkway, look it up if you can, beautiful country and lots of nice little stops along the way[romantic] lol, enjoy it sir you deserve it! ,Loko[:D]

been there. itll be hot this time of year. not that big of a wow'er. its just an overhang. the part leading up to it in the parking lot tends to be tourist'e with shops and crap. part of the rock bridge fell a few years ago. we went, but would never go back.

    hey jim.....that re-bar musta gave way......[:I][B)][:p]

Have to agree with Bobski. It is not really that exciting. And the shops sell real cheap tourist trap stuff.
