How did you dress up your AR-15?
I have become very interested in the AR 15 style guns. I have recently purchased two Entry Tactical Style carbine's and one AR Pistol. I have added a Blackhawk Swift sling, a Tach Latch and Dot Scope. Both rifles are flat top and so is the pistol. I get confused about what I should get next as far as accessories. All guns will be used for plinking and home defence. So what do you guys think are "Must Have" accessories for these guns?

So far, fairly pleased with just the dot scope and three high cap mags (1-dual drum 100rnd, 1-90rnd snail, 1-single drum 125rnd.). A sling and a light/laser may eventually follow, but no hurry. 0 -

When I had an AR, the only thing I did was add an accuwedge, put a scope on it (1.5-4.5x), and put ammo thru it. 0 -

If you're talking about a rifle intended for defensive use the list is short.
1. Sling of choice. (It's more than just a carrying strap.)
2. Some sort of sight system for better low light use, either Trijicon style inserts or a lightweight 1X lighted dot/reticle optic. (If an optical sight is used it should be mounted so you retain the capability of using iron sights.)
3. Depending upon what the rifle came equipped with, a high power extractor spring.
You're much better off keeping the rifle simple and putting your money into ammo for practice. A man with a minimalist rifle who shoots it regularly is much more dangerous than one with a portable accessory rack who shoots it infrequently.0 -

Go for a gun thats more "practical" than "tactical".
If you have flat tops, get flip up iron sights, a co-witness optic, and a good 3 point sling. Thats. All. You. Need.
If you want, get a free float barrel with a quad rail, three flashlights, laser sight,etc...oh yeah, and a shirt that says "Moron".
