    Great car and it would be a bunch of fun, but in today world they really need to knock off 1000 Lbs and add 100 HP just to stay competitive

    knock off 100hp? 480HP stock is a pretty good start. My Nissan Z is 160HP and gets along just fine. The new Skyline looks amazing.

    It is a 4000 lbs supercar with ONLY 480 HP?? A corvette ZO6 has 500 HP and only weighs 3000 Lbs, a viper is 3300 lbs with 520 hp, both of wich cost less than the GTR. Like I said, in todays world nissan will need to up the power and loose some wight to be competive.

    I've got an '83 280 ZX with about 110K original miles that I might sell.

    It's been sinking into the ground for the last year or so.

    If I am not mistaken they are AWD right? That is why they are so much heavier. I love the idea of AWD cars, we don't have enough of them here IMO.

    The Nissan Skyline GT-R has been around Japan for several years now. They were all over the roads when I was in Okinawa in 2004. I had a Laurel Crown I think, also a Nissan.
    the Skyline was an incredible car. Very quick off the line and had amazing handling.

    If that was true then the Subaru WRX and Mitsubishi EVO would weigh more than 3100 and 3200 lbs.

    They are great cars and they have been around sience the early 70's for most of the world. They are very easy to modify and you can easly pull 800 to 1000 HP with a little bit of work. In Japan they drag race these things, most of the top competators are running in the high 7's. Add to that they have grown an almost misticle element to them do to the past 2 generations playing Gran Terismo (sp). The only problem with the gtr is that nissan has not been able to keep up with the rest of the worlds supercars. If this was just 3 to 5 years ago it would be the greatest thing around, but now it seems to be a heavy underpowered slug. True that slug runs 5 sec 0-60 and 12 sec 1/4 mile, but so does a WRX STI and the STI will do it for $50,000 less money. Yes it does have almost 500 HP, but you can buy a Mustang with 500 HP for $20,000 less money. Yes it handles well, but you can buy a Lotus Exige that handles like a go-cart, does 11.5 in the 1/4 and 4.3 0-60, plus gets 28 MPG for $30,000 less.

    Now if you want to put that girl on a diet and add some power you might have something to talk about.
