Scope question!

Tomorrow i will be putting my scope on my new remington 700 bdl. The scope has a 42mm objective and a 30mm tube. I will be useing a leupold 1 piece base. But i am not sure if i can get away with using medium rings or if i have to get the high rings. This will be happening tomorrow so if i can get some help quick i would be much apreciative. Once again the gun is a Remington 700 BDL i will be using a leupold 1 piece base, Scope has a 30mm tube and a 42mm Objective, What height of rings do i need? Thanks [:)]

    He is saying that he agrees (as do I) that Medium rings will be fine

    Medium rings will work fine and the objective will be very tight to the bore. The only problem you'll run into is that a slip on scope cover my not fit between the objective bell and the barrel.
