    Big deal, low serial. For $700 or less you can buy a DMPS or an Oly. I don't see the point, what's the point to buying a firearm if you're not going to shoot it?

    Bragging rights, I guess. But that's the point of collecting. People buy cars they'll never drive, or albums they'll never listen to. I guess it just depends on what you're into. Not my place to correct someone's opinion on what they think is valuable or collectible.

    It probably is worth it and much more ... it may be a good investment, but I'd buy a class III registered full-auto, lightning link or DIAS before I'd buy something like that ...

    ... but that's me.

    As a shooter it's only worth $800, but to a Colt collector it is worth every penny, plus it will be worth even more in the next couple of years. There is nothing that says that you can not shoot this gun, it is not in unfired condition so it will not lose value if you shoot it. But if you modify the gun it will lose all of it's value.
