I just saw a 8 year old boy interviewed on TV, What a brain washed little boy, His Father was killed in the sand box, the boy said that he was glad that his father could die for his country. What a Crock, Looks like our politicians have Findley caught up with HITLERS way of thinking, he had the youth turning in their own parents.
Before you ask, YES I spent 4 years of my life in the service and if I had it to do over I would NOT, After seeing how our Politicians have spit on this once great nation.
And NO I down't feel better now.

If you were in England before WWII you would have seen the same thing. The liberals were hand wringing, whinning and crying and wanting to negoiate with Hitler. They bent over and gave him half of Europe before the woke up and found him at the door!
Then the conservatives fought the war! The liberals became news correspondents and made coffee at home for the troops.
Point is I think all gererations have seen this type of debate, and its often very heated. This debate went on for a long time in America prior to WWII and only after we were attacked in Hawaii did the debate stop and everyone knew at that point that there was no choice but to declare war.0 -

Leave the politics out of it for a minute - can you think of anything better than patriotism to give a grieving child?
What other thing could this child tell himself that would keep him from totally breaking down?

You missed my point or intentionally avoided it.
When people greive they must have something to hold on to that will keep them functioning. At least a child who lost a father to war has that concept of patriotism and service to country to hang on to compared to a child who lost a parent to a car accident who would have little or nothing to sustain them.0 -

MK 19, I cant, What I would like to see is when they the Politician start another war They have to send their son's and daughter's in FIRST. And in the front lines, not in a motel 50 miles away with their own cooks and lot of bozz and broads. 0 -

That has never happened, and it never will. The polititions may start the wars, but it takes the Soldier to finish them.0
