Bought a scope.
Well its not my first but I have a decision to make. I got a 8-32x40 the other day and I have narrowed it down to two guns.
10/22 Bull Barrel
Ar15 Stock barrel
What do you guys think.

Phew.... 8 - 32X! Well, from the two listed (not knowing the scope manufacturer) I would go for the 10/22. Most all scopes, regardless of the manufacturer, will be able to handle the recoil from either of the 2 rifles listed. Little too much magnification for me but I am getting older and all my rifles have some sort of optics on them now so who am I to say..... Have fun with whichever you choose (or both)! BTW you can never have too many guns OR GUITARS - we seem (by your handle) to share the same passions! 0 -
The scope is a BSA I think its a cheaper scope. I am wanting to make a great target gun.

IMHO put it on the 22. Much cheaper to punch paper with.

One thing about it ... with that much scope, you don't need a spotting scope!
I don't have anything with that high of magnification, but I do have a couple 24X's. I usually don't use anything past 20 or so ... it gets fuzzy around the outer edges of the scope which is kinda distracting to me ... they are BSA's too.
For a cheap scope, I think they're about the best in their price range.
As for which to put it on ... the 10-22!0 -
BSA - yeah, the 10/22 is the way to go for sure.

I have a 6-18X40 on my 10/22 and I love it, you will not be sorry[:)] 0
