This is a picture of Navy Lt Jg Nick "Goose" Bradshaw. He was killed on this day 30 years ago. A lot of people don't know how pivotal he was to world history. In 1986 the US and USSR had a standoff in the Indian Ocean. Tensions were high and he sacrificed his life to prevent WW3. RIP Lt Jg Nick "Goose" Bradshaw.
