It sounds tough. Does the boy yet know that he no longer has a father?

Being behind in my work is something I have turned into a pure form of art over the years...but now its beyond even my worst expectations right now. The kids are sweet...the mom is a wreck...the hospital is too dang far away (as everything is) to my home to "run right down" and put in a little time with them. So I have a pile of dishes, laundry piling up, and a ton of guns to get listed on line.

Later I have 10 long guns I HAVE to get on line.....and 4 or 5 that I would like to add. Not to mention the piles of excess mess I have brought home thinking I would deal with it all. I am frazzled.

I have so many planned for tomorrow I figured I had better get a few listed tonite. I am too tired to go into it all and do each a thread right now....

    Colt Mustang Pocketlite 380
Smith and Wesson 53 in the box with two cylinders and inserts
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley Hunter 44 mag stainless

The kids are doing fine. My son got to see his friend. I stayed a while and let some of the family go home to get baths and such. Still a hard thing to deal with....even from an "outsider's" view.

So unseemly. Of course, LF won't see it that way.

Whiteclouder....we know you are a pedophile and you should avoid me at all costs. Any thread that involves me...you can skip.....because if you think for one minute you will be "clever" by starting your snippy comments with me....you are wrong. Your comments about MY 10 yr old son were over the line and I think you are a sick person. You will get no slack from me....go away.

I'd avoid you in any case, sugarpuss. Go sell a gun.......or something.

I said some prayers for your friends (and others here who have asked for prayers) at church earlier today.

Sound like it was an awful accident. I wish the rest of the family a rapid recovery and comfort from above.

    Best Wishes.

Gunfunco....it was bad. The kids are young and seem to be doing as well as can be expected. I worry about the mom. She is a sweet person. The little girl is only three. I doubt she remembers her father. The boy is ten and I don't think he remebers much about the accident.....but if he does...that is going to be hard.

Since this accident whenever I ride with my kids in the car I make certain they are wearing their seat belts the right way. They usually try to tuck the shoulder strap under their arm. Its something I just don't know how to deal with. I just hope that the mom finds how to do what she has to before it affects the kids. Young kids in a home with a mother not quite able to cope....it will be hard for them all.

    [:0] are you a "boy"!?!

    I figure
a girl....is a female that if you don't behave her mom or dad may get involved.

a lady....is a female that would never let herself be in any type of situation and if (God forbid) she DOES end up insulted in any way she will look around to be defended by others.

and a woman....is a female that TRIES to be a lady but can't help but knock the ever-lovin crap out of anyone who pushes her too far.

Interesting classification, Locust Fork. Since I don't know much about interworkings of girls, ladies, women or females I'll take your word for it [:D] Now, how do I tell one from other if acquainted only briefly?

That's not a woman but some psycho. What's wrong with "babe" too?

Wife is different....call your wife "babe" and she thinks you are flattering her.

It all depends on the surroundings really.....Call a 39 yr old mother of three "babe" who is trying to have a business deal with you and it is insulting. How bout being called wonder-boy? It makes just as much sence to call whomever I want wonder-boy as it does that I should put up with anyone calling me babe.

If I sat my happy but down on a bar-stool somewhere and someone called me babe...it would be different I guess. As I'm handing an AR-15 over the counter to someone and they call me babe....I suddenly get the idea that this joker isn't in the market for this gun at all....he just wants to hold these things hoping I catch how "manly" he looks holding it and find him irresistable....holding a gun he knows less about than I do....right.

So, Locust Fork, why would you have me call someone a "babe" if you think it might be so inappropriate? [:p] Btw, I personally would laugh my ass off if someone called me a wonder-boy [:D] I know you're stressed at the moment, so maybe you're taking it all a bit too seriously [:)]

    And on this:

quote:he just wants to hold these things hoping I catch how "manly" he looks holding it and find him irresistable"

Well, geez, I wish I could sell stuff so easily! I'd probably retire years ago![:p]
