Oil wells in Texas
This Google Earth stuff is liable to get me in trouble, I'm having too much fun being a space tourist.
Oil wells in Texas:

What would an oil tycoon name the company town??

I wish somebody would ask JR and Sue Ellen what's up with that...

It's pronounced IRA-ANN. Named after two of the original land owner's daughters.
I'm not sure how to post a link directly to Google Earth pics, but take a look off the east end of the runway at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. Kinda cool.0 -

The crop circle artists in England would flip out if they saw Kansas!
Any Kansas guys know what those crops are?0 -
That's funny you posted Iraan, my grandfather worked there for many years and I still have quite a bit of family in that little town. With the oil boom right now it is back to full running capacity again. I've been all through those little roads...my grandma like to hunt arrowheads....and thats a real good place to do it. Also a darn fine place for hunting too. BIG whitetail and mulies down there. 0 -
