making ballistic gel

I would like to make some ballistic Gel to shoot, any one know where i might be able to find/ make some I found a few web sights there a little help. or should i just forget about it? I don't want to spend to much of whats left of my gun / ammo fund.

  There are places that will make it for you or you can make it yourself. It takes time, equipment, lots of gelatine, refrigeration, careful measurements and mixing if you want the tests to be accurate.

  I've made a suitable substitute for the expense and bother of true ordnance gelatin out of shredded newspaper, Knox gelatin and pork rib bones.
  Just shred up some (depending on the size block you are after) old newspaper, 6 lbs. oughta do it for a 3' square block, add enough water to make soupy, mix about 5 packets of Knox gelatin according to directions, and add to the newspaper soup, then leave the whole thing outside overnight till it "hardens" in the mold you poured all that crap into. I add old pork rib bones about halfway through the night for realism.
