    My dad was USN during a little dust-up they had in the Pacific 1942-45. Unfortunately he's gone now and I never learned much about his service and I don't know which ship(s) he served on.

    Welcome from another old airdale (1959-68). VX-6 in Antarctica (Navigator on P2v-7's on skis, C-130's on skis, etc.). Vap 61 1962-65 Guam and Nam (Navigator on Ra3b's, on Chicken Hawk, Hancock, Ranger and Coral Maru). Also guilty of frequenting Olongapo.[:D][:I][}:)] 1965-68 Washington, D.C.[:(]

    How weird is that? My Dad, God love him, was a Machinist's Mate on the Randolph as well. Was aboard ship during the Cuban Missile Blockade.

    I still have a Navy era, 1960s pic of him in his uniform hanging on my wall.
