Back in the early 90s I had an SKS and ammo was real cheap.
I used to go to a rock pit and shoot at 2' diameter rocks until they were a pile of gravel.
Once in a while there would be thre or four of us all unloading 30 round magazines on selected rock. Those rocks never had a chance[:D]

Man that was good therapy and a whole lotta fun[8D]

    +1000

Man that ammo use to be cheep enough to shoot like .22. I miss the days of $60/1000 7.62x39. Back then .308 was kinda spendy at $120/1000 [}:)]. I wish I would have bought more of both at the time. I do have a good stash but you can never have too much.

It was cool! long story short. Got it used at the gun shop back in 1985,
not sure what I had at the time, but it was $375 used and on the rack.
Not knowing diddley squat about bench guns I said I will take it.
Also, not knowing it was already trued and had a SS Heart 26"+- tuned barrel.

Asked a few of the old timers at the gun shop to set it up and tweak it for me now that I was getting into Varmint shooting. The rest is history-[^] I have been hooked on one hole guns since.[:p]

When I was down in the delta, I had access to every WWII US gun. Used to go to the top of the hill, and shoot. BAR is near the top of the list. Old "Royal Typewriter". Joe

What's the funnest firearem you have ever fired?

It was a gun but not a firearm.

Ya know the waterguns at the fair that you shoot at the clowns mouth and fill up and burst a balloon? Instead of shooting at the clown, I hosed my girlfriends teeshirt down. Everyone got a big laugh (and smile) out of it! [:D][}:)][:D]

The M60A3 Tank, was the funnest. Since I was a small weapons repairman, I've had the opportunity to shoot alot of various weapons. Two of my favorites were the M2 Flex, and the M203 Grenade Launcher. Love those high explosive rounds![:p]

Close runner-up would be my .50 flintlock, particularly when someone else is at the range to lecture me on how unreliable such guns are. Even more particularly when, as has happened, the critic's in-line fails to go off even once during the time I'm there to watch.

#1 though is a Romanian bolt-action .22 that I put a full-length stock and new front sight on. The thing drills the centers out of anything I aim it at, and, hey, it's a .22, which is the definition of "fun" as far as I'm concerned.
