open sights
Which type of open/non magnified sights are you the most accurate with? Handgun or rifle.

I have a Glenfield/Marlin 75 22lr with the origional cheap a$$ dove tail rear sights. This gun also has a scope rail, are there any upgradad rear sights that would mount on the scope rail or otherwise. I have a couple of other 22s with scopes so I want to keep this one open. 0 -
There are peep sights that mount on scope rails. I don't have any links handy at the moment. Try a http://www.dogpile.com search 0 -
Williams makes a peep sight that will mount on the scope rails. You will need a higher front sight to go with it. Availiable from Brownells if your local dealer cann't get you one. 0 -
Or you can go with the standard front sight and have your 22 zero at about 800 yards with a midrange peak of about 25 feet. 0 -
800 yards sounds about right for plinking, if only I could get it to eat 22 shorts. 0
