I'm off to South Carolina!
I'm going up to Gray Court, South Carolina to pick up a 1962 Chevy pickup. I've been working on this deal for a few weeks so I'm excited to be going up there to get it finally. Any of you fellow forum members live close to Gray Court? If so maybe I'll see one of you guys at the local choke and pukes for breakfast! Later!

I'm back! What a trip. It took around $200.00 in fuel, had a gun pointed at my wife, and didn't sleep a wink in the intire 24 hours I was gone. Still had a good trip. Okay, about the gun, I pull into the driveway of this place where I am suppose to pick up this truck at about 4am. Aparently the night security at this place had just run off a couple of troublemakers about an hour before I got there. I pulled into the driveway and got out to make sure the trailer wasn't in the street. I got back in my truck and pulled forward a couple of feet and parked. I got out to smoke a cigarette before taking a nap when I hear this guy on the other side of my truck hollar, "Is there a problem!?" Now, at this point he is on my wifes side of the truck and was pointing the gun at her before she closed her door. I immediatly pull my .45 from my waist and have my sights right between his eyes when he rounds the front of the truck looking for a target. I said to him, "Calm down and drop the gun or you will die!" I think he peed himself because he was in no position to defend himself with his gun pointing up. I told him again to calm down and listen to me and explained what was going on and that I arrived early from Florida to make a deal on a truck in the morning, and that he needed to put that gun down and relax unless he wanted to go to hell tonight. I later learned that my wife, while in the truck had retrieved her .380 that she takes with her and was ready to fire if he so much as flinched in my direction. I took his gun and cleared it, then when everything was settled in the morning with his boss, the owner of the business, I was on my way with my truck and the security guy was severly reprimanded for using such unnecesary aggressiveness. I reluctantly returned his weapon upon getting in my vehicle however, I give the magazine to his boss! The strange part about the whole thing is I never was scared or nervous or pumped from adrenaline or anything. I felt completely calm other than the anger I felt when he pointed the gun at my Wife! I could have easily killed him, but I knew in the back of my mind how much trouble it would cause, as well as proving the shooting was justified seeing how my wife and I would be the only ones who witnessed him point the gun at her. Most important all is well and nobody had to die. 0 -
