Only 3 less firearm homicides in Britain?
In the K.C. "Red" Star newspaper this morning (4-27-07) was a news item describing some of the various gun laws, statistics, gun law effects, etc. as published by the Associated Press by Willaim J. Kole. (page A-12 of the Star). It mentioned that in 1998 there were 49 gun homicides in Britain. Britain already had one of the strictist rifle and shotgun laws in the world. But after 1998, Britain basically outlawed all handguns. However, in 2006, there were 46 firearm homicides.
The liberals will miss the importance of this fact, but here an entire population of peaceful, lawful citizens have been disarmed of most of their rifles, shotguns and pretty much all their handguns and for what? For a reduction of only 3 firearm homicides? What a travesty of reason and justice.
In addition, when Britain was reporting the firearm homicides up to and including for the yers 1998, I believe if a lawful, peaceful armed citizen killed a criminal attacker, the death of that attacker was counted as a "firearm homicide.". If so, the almost funny thing about that in relation to Britain disarming ONLY the peaceful lawful citizens is that after those citizens were disarmed the so called "firearm homicides" WOULD probably drop because the now defenlsess citizens COULD NO LONG FIGHT BACK USING GUNS.
Yet another travesty of justice and reason.

Yes and it's also a grave denial of basic freedom. 0 -
There is no Bill of Rights in Great Britain. These people still have a monarchy for crying out loud (yes, I know it's mostly for "show", but still). 0 -

The bottom line is without guns Great Britain would not exsist.0 -
How can you not see the great benefit of removing all those evil guns, Heck it saved three lives.

Yep, all those lives saved without guns. I'd like to see a study on how many stabbing, bludgeoning, poisoning, strangulation, automobile, or anything else deaths there were.
Also if it was the article as in my local paper they counted suicides using guns also. One would think that a person determined to die would do it with or without a gun.0
