You know, I had the RIA GI1911A1, and while it didn't stink, I also wasn't happy with it. I upgraded to a Tactical, and am thrilled. It's the only 1911 I've ever owned that has never had a single problem...say what you will, but I'm looking at one of their double stacks now... 0 -

What at 5 YD? I seen one shoot. Not impressed. Then at 40 yd. I had a large mound of dirt as a backstop. Shooter couldn't even keep them in the backstop let alone hit the small target. My Browning HP Competition could ring a bullseye flip target pretty consistant from 40 yd. In fact 2 weeks ago I seen a Greenville SC Police officer shoot my gun at 100 yd and bust clay birds against a dirt backstop . Try that with your Rock Island. I also busted some.. Ammo used was cheap Walmart white box fmj. Gun shoots better with match ammo..0 -

I dont have a problem with mine,I put ct grips on it and it hits where I aim. I like it.0 -
out of 6 I sold 2 went back for warranty repairs within the first month... I won't stock them any longer. 0 -

I don't follow you... you couldn't keep the shots from a Rock Island on the target at 40yds or some unknown guy at the range couldn't keep his shots with his Rock Island on the target at 40yds?0 -
I wouldn't even attempt a shot a 40 yd with one. Pretty bad when you watch an experienced pistol shot person take their gun and miss a target by feets not inches. One shot 10' in front of the target, one shot three feet over the target, one shot dirt flyin' 4' left.. Finally I was cautious to want to make sure all shots went in the dirt backstop and not get away.. 0 -
