Pick a time in history that had the best and or the most gun inovation during a 20 year period. I would have to say 1850-1870.

On the show later it talked to Colt- who is working on getting guns that have computer chips in them where they won't fire unless in the immediate vicinity of a chip, much like the ignition on my wife's car where if the key in the ignition doesn't have the chip that's embedded in the plastic, the car will run for a few seconds, then die and needs the dealer to reset it before it will run. I understand that a device available to police agencies will emit a frequency that neutralizes the chip, causing the car to stop; which would mean that you could have a gun and the appropriate device for it to shoot, but someone could have a gadget that would prevent your gun from shooting by jamming the gun's electronics. Not sure gun development is headed in the right direction.[:(] 0 -

S&W already tried that with their ring guns. One of the Metro Atlanta departments bought into that in the late 90's. They only used them for court security and got rid of them after the obvious problems came about.0
